About Emergency First Aid at Work
This course is suitable for anyone who wants to understand how to respond to an emergency and become an emergency first aider in their workplace. This course is most suitable for workplaces whose first aid needs assessment confirms that an Emergency First Aider is sufficient.
Note: Any company where employees have pre-existing medical conditions will most likely need a qualified First Aider, in which case our three-day First Aid at Work course might be more appropriate.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course covers the skills needed to respond in an emergency, including:
- Adult Resuscitation (CPR)
- Bleeding
- Burns and scalds
- Chest pains
- Choking
- Seizures
- Shock
- Stroke
- Unresponsive Adult
It will also cover helpful information such as:
- Assessing and Monitoring Casualties
- How and When to Call for Help
- Electrical Incidents
- COSHH Incidents
- Accident Reporting
The assessment for this course is completed by continuous observation and questioning throughout the course.
Upon successful completion, candidates will receive a certificate in Emergency First Aid at Work, valid for 3 years.
